Welcome to the family!
What does it mean to be saved?
Being saved, spiritually, means your sins no longer count against you toward an eternal death sentence. Instead, they are forgiven by the grace of God, and you are given the free gift of eternal life. Being saved does not spare you from earthly troubles, but it does spare you from eternal judgment.
What must I do to be saved?
It's important that you understand what the Bible says about how we are saved from our sin and gain eternal life.
Take a look at the
"Romans Road to Salvation"
It will tell you what you must understand and do to be saved!
We are all sinners by nature and by choice.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
We receive eternal life as a free gift.
For the wage of sin is death; But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
God demonstrated His love for us, His enemies.
But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
We must trust and surrender to Jesus as Lord.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
A Sinner's Prayer For Forgiveness
"Dear God, I know I'm a sinner. I know my sin deserves to be punished. I believe Christ is the Son of God, who died for me and rose from the grave. I want to turn from my sin and trust Jesus Christ alone as my Savior. Thank you for your forgiveness and everlasting life I can now have faith in Jesus. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Our assurance of salvation through Jesus.
For whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
